How To Be A Member

Those wishing to join the TWAPEN may send their applications with minimum three copies of their literary works, which published on standard publication(s) for scrutiny by our Executive Committee Members. If the Executive Committee Members decide to accept the applicants, they will be provided with certificates recognizing their membership.

Qualification of a Member:

  1. Must be a Tibetan nationality.
  2. Must have up-to-date Indian Registration Certificate ( R.C).
  3. Must have up-to-date Tibetan Green book.
  4. Must abide by the Laws and Constitutions of the Tibetan Government-in-Exile
  5. Must not have any criminal record.
  6. Must have approval of being a standard writer as judged through his/ her literary works by Executive Member
  7. Must pledge to abide by the rules and regulations of TWAPEN Centre.
  8. A new member must be introduced by a bona-fide member of TWAPEN.

Responsibilities and Rights of a Member:

  • To support the policies of H.H the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government-in-Exile
  • To accomplish the directions given by Executive Members
  • Each member has a Right to vote for or against any ruling
  • Each member has a Right to suggest and propose any ideas.
  • Each member has a Right to resign at any time.
  • Each member has a Right to heed and to observe the works of Executive Members.

Alteration of Member:

  • A member could be dismissed by the Executive Body, if he / she is against the policies of H.H the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government-in-Exile
  • A member who neglects the directions of the Executive Body and failed to abide by the rules and regulations of the Centre would be automatically released from TWAPEN membership.
  • Every Executive Member is elected for five years and a new Executive Body should have minimum members of seven.
  • If a member fails to pay the membership fees on time for two years, he/she is automatically dismissed from TWAPEN.
  • Any member can resign at any time by submitting an application to the Executive Body
